Who it’s for

Hammock Cove is the most refined address in the Elite collection, and the one you reach for when a client wants to be left alone. Five stars, adults twenty-one and over, fifty-one villas and no more. Every villa has its own plunge pool, a personal Guest Ambassador comes with the room, and there is no Kids Club. If your client is choosing between resorts on price, this is not the one. If they are choosing on privacy, it is.

  • Five stars · Adults 21+
  • 51 villas, no more
  • A plunge pool in every villa
  • No Kids Club — by design

The setting

It sits on its own peninsula on Antigua's rugged east coast, beside Devil's Bridge National Park, with a quarter mile of white-sand beach and boardwalk that belongs to the resort. The east coast matters when you are selling it: this is the quieter, wilder side of the island, and the water is the colour people book Antigua for. Clients who want shops and nightlife within walking distance should be looking at The Club Barbados instead.

The villas

Fifty-one villas, every one with a private plunge pool, in three categories: Waterview, Waterfront, and the new Signature Villas. Know the Signature numbers, because they are the upsell. One thousand four hundred and ninety square feet against one thousand and eighty. A plunge pool of one hundred and thirty-seven square feet against fifty-four. An indoor mini bar and a separate workspace. That is nearly forty percent more villa and two and a half times the pool.

  • Waterview · Waterfront · Signature
  • Signature: 1,490 sq ft vs 1,080
  • Signature plunge pool: 137 sq ft vs 54
  • Indoor mini bar and separate workspace

Dining and bars

Three restaurants, led by a Michelin-caliber chef, and the newest is Sir Rob's Steak and Seafood: premium black angus, fresh-caught seafood, an interactive viewing window, open for dinner by reservation. Five bars and lounges — Irina's Bar, the Lighthouse Bar, Nobody Knows Bar, On The Rocks Bar, and the Chairmans Lounge. Evening dress is Resort Elegant, so tell your clients to pack accordingly. Guests who assume all-inclusive means casual are the ones who feel underdressed.

Who to sell it to

Sell it to couples who want to disappear, to honeymooners, and to the solo traveller who wants a week with no schedule. There is a wedding package and a wedding venue, and meeting rooms if a small group needs them. The objection you will hear is the price. The answer is the plunge pool in every villa, the Guest Ambassador, and fifty-one villas instead of three hundred rooms. If a client is bringing children, do not sell this resort: send them to Saint James's Club and Villas.

  • Couples, honeymoons, the solo week
  • Wedding package · 1 venue
  • Meeting rooms for small groups

Six questions

Everything here is answered above. Five out of six to pass.

  1. 1How many villas does Hammock Cove have?

  2. 2What does every villa have?

  3. 3What is the minimum age?

  4. 4How many pickleball courts?

  5. 5Is there a Kids Club?

  6. 6What commission do advisors earn on a direct booking?

What would come next. A certificate in the advisor’s name, and a record at Elite Island Resorts of who has completed which resort. That needs an advisor sign-in and somewhere to keep the records, so it is a conversation rather than something we can simply build.
